Limelite HR & Learning was founded in 2020 by Lisa Murphy FCIPD, and we’ve grown into one of the most recognised HR and people development consultancies in the Midlands. We work with everyone from local SMEs and charities to some big names you’ll recognise.

We’re not a faceless outsourced HR department or a call centre. We’re a small, brilliant team of real HR professionals who actually care. Every client we work with gets senior, hands-on support from people who’ve been in their shoes and know what good looks like.

Whilst we love working with well known organisations, we have great relationships with our local council and have also helped over forty start-up and SME organisations across Worcestershire to access HR support completely free of charge using government funding.

We believe great organisations do more than turn a profit, they become an active community member. CEO, Lisa Murphy FCIPD, previously volunteered as Chair of the Hereford and Worcester CIPD, supporting HR professionals across the region, and was also trustee for a local charity and a school Governor.  In 2025, Limelite proudly became the headline sponsor for our client, the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust’s, Charity Ball. And we’re delighted to announce that for 2026/27 we’re now sponsors of the Hereford and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce’s Professional Services Forum, supporting professionals in sectors we work with every day.

About Lisa

Lisa Murphy FCIPD, Founder and CEO

Lisa founded Limelite in 2020 after a multi-award winning career leading teams across the education, charity and private sectors. She’s a Fellow of the CIPD, a qualified DiSC facilitator and trainer, and a recognised voice in the HR, leadership and inclusion space.

She’s spoken at the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Conference on Inclusive Leadership, contributed to People Management magazine many times, and has been a guest on numerous industry podcasts including her own podcast, HR Directors Cut. She has a large LinkedIn following, and shares practical HR insight every week that reaches thousands of leaders and professionals.

Outside the business, Lisa is parent to two neurodiverse children and often talks about this area of expertise, she served as Chair of the CIPD Hereford & Worcestershire branch, trustee of a charity and school governor, alongside growing her business. She cares deeply about the communities she works in and is passionate about creating inclusive and successful businesses by getting the best out of people.

HR partnerships that build amazing workplaces

  • We’ve worked with Limelite for a while now and had a fair few different issues crop up. They’ve been helpful with all of them.

    Laura, Nicky and Helen have supported us with different things. Some big, needing online meetings or a face to face visit to our premises with managers and employees. Others smaller, sorted with a quick, reassuring and factual email.

    Limelite have reassured us that our approach to HR, being compassionate first, is the right one. Now we also know we’re ticking the right boxes and using the right language in meetings and in writing, so we’re properly covered.

    Since the changes to the Employment Act, we’ve asked Limelite to rewrite our employee handbook to reflect the new legislation and the way work has changed. It’ll be a useful tool for us going forward.

  • Helen has been very helpful with our recruitment and has helped me see the importance of pitching our company to potential applicants. We are still recruiting for our skilled positions, but I have tweaked my approach to this, and I think I have seen a change in the response, and I have seen candidates keener to arrange trials with us.

  • Severn Arts asked Limelite HR for their assistance to create a Culture Book as part of their Workforce Planning support programme, funded through WCC, to assist with the onboarding process for new staff members. We sent over our current Employee Handbook, along with our Tone of Voice policy and information about the organisation, as it was a text-only document and quite laborious to read through.
    Limelite HR remodelled it into a useful document with images, photos and highlighted text to match our website, creating a more branded put-together document for us to use. We are starting to roll it out with the new starters that will join us in January.
    It’s saved us valuable time and resources and is now a live document that we can amend and update as necessary. It’s also encouraged us to review the information in the Handbook and update relevant sections for which we are now scheduling regular reviews.
